Terms of Service for Odyssey Journal

By accessing and using Odyssey Journal ("the App"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Odyssey Journal is a mobile application that allows users to:

- Create and share travel posts with photos and locations

- Discover and interact with posts from other travelers

- Follow other users and build a travel community

- Bookmark and organize favorite posts

- Receive notifications about social interactions

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

- You must be at least 13 years old to use the App

- You must provide accurate and complete information

- You are responsible for maintaining account security

- You must not share your account credentials

3.2 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that:

- Violate these Terms

- Engage in abusive or harmful behavior

- Post inappropriate or illegal content

- Impersonate others or create fake accounts

4. User Content

4.1 Your Content

- You retain ownership of content you post

- You grant us a license to display, distribute, and promote your content

- You are responsible for the content you post

- You must have rights to any photos or content you share

4.2 Prohibited Content

You may not post content that:

- Is illegal, harmful, or offensive

- Infringes on intellectual property rights

- Contains personal information of others without consent

- Promotes violence, hate speech, or discrimination

- Is sexually explicit or pornographic

- Contains spam or malicious code

4.3 Content Moderation

We reserve the right to:

- Remove content that violates these Terms

- Moderate user-generated content

- Take action against users who violate policies

5. User Conduct

You agree to:

- Use the App lawfully and respectfully

- Not harass, bully, or threaten other users

- Not impersonate others

- Not attempt to hack or disrupt the App

- Not scrape or collect data without permission

- Not use the App for commercial purposes without authorization

6. Intellectual Property

- The App, design, and features are owned by us

- Our trademarks and logos are protected

- You may not copy, modify, or distribute our intellectual property

6.2 User Rights

- You retain rights to your original content

- You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to use your content

- This license ends when you delete your content or account

8. Disclaimers

8.1 Service Availability

- The App is provided "as is" without warranties

- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service

- We may modify or discontinue features at any time

- We are not responsible for user-generated content

- We do not endorse user opinions or content

- Users are solely responsible for their content

8.3 Third-Party Services

- We use third-party services (Supabase, Google Maps)

- We are not responsible for third-party service failures

- Third-party services have their own terms and policies

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any)

- We are not liable for user content or actions

- We are not liable for service interruptions or data loss

- Claims arising from your use of the App

- Your violation of others' rights

- Your content and actions

11. Changes to Terms

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
